"National Screen-Free Week" April 30-May 6

Just found out that tomorrow starts "National Screen Free Week".  This concept is difficult for many families to achieve in our world of 24/7 access to information and programming via TV's in every room and WiFi/3g devices rampant.  So getting intentional about what kids see and do is necessary for breaking the habit.  Not to say that a little developmentally appropriate TV here and there is bad for a kid, but it's easy for families to exist together without much interaction if we're glued to our devices all the time.  Check out the article "Play More, Watch Less" by Sara Gable to learn more and consider joining in on the "fun" this week.  Also, consider the book  by Bobbi Conner.
